A Sealed Quench Furnace (also known as a Batch Integral Quench Furnace) is a heat treatment furnace designed to perform processes like carburizing, carbonitriding, hardening, and tempering in a controlled atmosphere, followed by rapid quenching - all within a sealed, oxygen-free system.
How It Works:
  • Loading chamber (airlock): Parts are loaded without exposing the furnace to air.
  • Heat treatment chamber: The parts are heated (e.g., for carburizing) in a controlled atmosphere (endothermic gas, nitrogen-methanol mix, etc.).
  • Transfer to quench chamber: After soaking at desired temp, the parts are automatically transferred to a quench tank (oil, gas, or polymer).
  • Cooling & unloading: The parts are cooled and removed for inspection or further processing.
