An Induction Melting Furnace uses electromagnetic induction to melt metals. Instead of using a flame or resistance elements, it generates heat inside the metal itself using alternating magnetic fields.
How It Works:
An alternating current passes through a water-cooled copper coil.
This creates a rapidly changing magnetic field.
The field induces eddy currents in the metal charge inside a crucible.
These currents generate resistive heat, melting the metal from the inside out.
The metal can be poured by tilting or bottom pouring.
