Induction Melting Furnaces

Home  /  Our Products  /  Furnaces  /  Induction Melting Furnaces
An Induction Melting Furnace uses electromagnetic induction to melt metals. Instead of using a flame or resistance elements, it generates heat inside the metal itself using alternating magnetic fields.
How It Works:
  • An alternating current passes through a water-cooled copper coil.
  • This creates a rapidly changing magnetic field.
  • The field induces eddy currents in the metal charge inside a crucible.
  • These currents generate resistive heat, melting the metal from the inside out.
  • The metal can be poured by tilting or bottom pouring.

Advantages
  • Fast, uniform heating
  • No combustion gases = clean melting
  • Precise temperature control
  • Low oxidation & contamination
  • Quiet & compact
  • Compatible with automated casting lines
Applications
  • Foundries - High-quality castings of steel, iron, brass, etc.
  • Jewelry - Melting gold, silver, platinum
  • Aerospace - Superalloys, clean melting environments
  • Automotive - Engine parts, gears, aluminum components
  • Recycling - Melting scrap metals efficiently
