An Electric Box Furnace is a highly efficient industrial heat treatment furnace that operates using electric resistance heating elements. It provides precise temperature control, uniform heating, and clean operation, making it ideal for applications such as annealing, tempering, hardening, stress relieving, sintering, and brazing.
How an Electric Box Furnace Works
  • Material Loading - Workpieces are placed inside the rectangular furnace chamber on shelves, trays, or hearths.
  • Heating Phase - The furnace uses electric heating elements (Nichrome, Kanthal, MoSi2, or SiC) to gradually heat the materials to the desired temperature (300oC to 1800oC).
  • Soaking Phase - The material is held at a constant temperature for a precise duration to ensure even heat treatment.
  • Cooling Phase - The furnace either slowly cools the material (for annealing) or allows for rapid quenching depending on the application.
  • Unloading & Post-Processing - The treated material is removed for machining, coating, or finishing.

Key Features of Electric Box Furnaces
  • Uniform Temperature Control - Provides consistent heating across the chamber.
  • Clean & Eco-Friendly Operation - No combustion gases, making it ideal for cleanrooms.
  • Programmable Temperature Profiles - Customizable heating, soaking, and cooling cycles.
  • Fast Heating & Energy Efficiency - Uses high-performance heating elements.
  • Durable Refractory Insulation - Ensures low heat loss and high-temperature stability.
  • Automated PLC & SCADA Control - Enables real-time monitoring and process automation.
